Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year with so much going on across the country so I've put a list together of some of the things you can do this year.

Decorate the house: you've probably done this by now but putting your decorations up is so fun and not very costly at all, it's also really nice to do as a family.

Go to a Christmas market: As you might have seen in one of my recent posts (here) I visited the christmas market in Southampton, lots of cities now have these and they are great to look around and get you into the Christmas spirit.

Catch up with family and friends: Christmas is the time of year where everyone wants to get together and catch up, so make some time to grab a coffee with people you haven't seen for a while, its always nice just to ring or call too.

Christmas shopping: shopping is a big thing at Christmas wherever you go the shops are always manic, so why not write a list of all the things you need whether that be food, clothes, make-up or presents and do a few shopping trips. I love visiting department stores and seeing all the decorations and presents they are stocking.

Going to a garden centre: one of my favourite things when I was younger was to visit a garden centre where I live in early December and see their decorations on display as they were always really good.

Create a Christmas playlist: Spotify is great for this

Snuggle up and watch a Christmas film: there is nothing better to do than relax on the sofa or in bed watching a Christmas film and eating some chocolates.

Day trips: there are so many things going on at this time of year so if you have time why not go on a trip with your family and friends somewhere whether it's just ice skating in your local town or to Winter Wonderland, somewhere I'd love to go.

Make some Christmas treats: my favourite thing to have at Christmas time is a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, also baking cookies and cupcakes would be great to do. You could even give them as gifts.

Pretty wrapping: some people hate wrapping others hate it, I'm in between. I am not great at it but I love having nicely wrapped gifts with tissue paper, boxes and bows so why not get all your gifts together and wrap them all up as you'll have to do it eventually.

What do you plan on doing this Christmas?
