At the end of May, I jetted off to Roda, Corfu with my friends from uni, you can see a vlog of the holiday by Alarah but I thought I would also document it as a holiday diary.

Our first day was actually the Sunday as we arrived in the very early hours of the morning. We stayed at the Pegasus hotel which is just as you enter Roda town, the people were kind enough to let us straight into our rooms so that we could sleep. The hotel is family run so everyone was very friendly, the rooms were spacious, clean and we even had our own balcony. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel as it was so worth the price although it wasn't all inclusive their breakfast was a good continental buffet.

For our first day we decided to relax by the pool as we had a very long flight. It was so nice to sit by the pool with a iced coffee with ice cream in. During the day we also went to a few local shops to pick up some snacks and essentials like sun cream and shower gel. In the evening we decided to explore the town for food. Roda has many lovely restaurants by the sea front. When we walking by we stopped outside a restaurant on the beach called Roxannes. This was one of my favourite meals on holiday (all the food was so good). We initially were on the search for humous but no where seemed to have it until the man outside said he could make it for us and it was the best humous and pitta we have had. As well as humous for starter we had a greek salad and garlic bread with feta and tomatoes. For main I decided to go for the traditional greek chicken gyros which was lovely, instead of putting everything in the pitta they had chips, peppers, chicken, pitta and tzatziki all on your plate so you could make your own which I really liked. Overall, our first day was a great success.
